This post is not intended to be my most researched work, rather it is a conduit for my expression of personal thoughts and opinions on where the corporate office should be going. I share my personal frustrations with where the workplace had been headed, especially with the rampant occurrences of workplace malpractice and creating unsafe situations. And, I have particular ideas about which leadership styles are most effective at combating the issues of the modern office.

*Content Warning*: general topics of workplace malpractice, s.a. and harassment, and other inappropriate behaviors

As far as safety goes, I think the office has been riddled with issues for a long time and they have mostly gone unaddressed. The amount of occurrences I have heard of people feeling at the low-end unsafe and at the extreme-end being put in horrible danger is truly unbelievable. It has become blatantly apparent to me that many in leadership, HR, and management have let their employees down. One should not feel afraid to come into work. This is something that needs to be fixed immediately.

The primary solutions to modern management issues is transformational leadership and authentic leadership. Transformational leadership is all about meeting your teammates where they are at and closely working with them to goal-set and bring them to a higher standard of productivity. Authentic leadership is shown through those who show their true personality in the workplace and make the effort to create an environment where teammates feel comfortable approaching the manager. The combination of these two leadership styles can lower the stress and intensity inside the office, while improving productivity and efficiency immensely.
